Chop Wood Carry Water Plant Seeds is a blog about Self-Sufficient Homesteading. How can we live by creating a sustainable bio-diverse world, instead of by consuming and destroying the only one we have? What kind of teaching have you got if you exclude nature?

Potato growing

It takes 1 month for a potato plant to come out of the soil from the date it was planted. If exposed to the light 3 weeks before the planting date it will take only one week for the plant to start growing. Pre-cultivation is all about buying extra time which is needed in nordic countries.

We placed a bit of soil into the treys under the potatoes so they can also develop roots
